Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WF Swag

Hey management we do not want anymore cups or merch with WF logo as payment for hard work. Cash bonuses, gift cards, and/or extra PTO is really all we want, otherwise save the money on postage. The cup isn’t keeping me here or making me work harder. I quiet quit months ago

I don't mind office trinkets, but how would they ever be "used" in unassigned cube farm he-l holes? They wouldn't.

The hacks running this place want us to be engaged, as if that was even possible with all the downsizing, failed leadership, RTO, benefit cuts, institutionalized bigotry, and everything else they keep trying to implement. The execs make it perfectly clear that they despise us and want to replace as many of us as possible. They concoct all kinds of initiatives that they say are to drive efficiency, but they aren't. They want to eliminate all employees that worked here pre-Charlie. That's what's happening, and they lie about it routinely.

I immediately donate it. Sometimes on way home from on the day I get it.

One time everyone in our department (within HR) got mailed a “gift” that was a plastic baggie (like a sandwich bag) with a paper clip and a small plastic jar of Dollar Store bubbles — (what? like I am going to blow bubbles in my office?) There were other tacky things included in the baggie but I’ve blocked it out. It was so tacky and insulting — my co-workers and I just howled with laughter about it. Straight into the trash!

Does anyone drink at work? Do you keep it in your car, or backpack, or...?

Do you sneak off to the restroom? Or do you mix it in with something before arriving?

Do people notice that you're pleasantly social the more the day goes on?

Are two sticks of Big Red sufficient to mask your breath?

Just curious. Not asking for any specific reason.

I recently hit 10 years and I got bonus points. . I was able to get a gift card for my years of service. (I was surprised)

Better than the plastic cube that
I would normally toss out.

I recently got my one year plaque.

I mounted it on the rear dash of my car for everyone to see.

I got multiple cups and other stuff since I am full-remote. All of them, including the Wells Fargo covid mask (remember), went straight into the trash.

It’s something. Haven’t seen trinkets or gift cards in 5 years.

I used to be proud to work for this company and would have displayed some stuff. Now that I don’t even have my own desk any more it’s all garbage to me.

Post ID: @nkn+1o8DSAb0 so you haven’t gotten any merch.. they are given cups, shirts, pens, speakers, and a bunch of manufactured items with WF logo. They have a catalog.

If you got a cup as payment for hard work the message they are sending you is “you didn’t really work hard, or even much at all, but we noticed. Enjoy the cup”

Nice try tho

How about this gift, stop outsourcing and stop shipping jobs offshore to India.

WF is not a tech start up, you don't need any H1B visa neither.
