Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

most LACKLUSTER execs currently or in recent history

Stephenson was the biggest disaster to ever befall AT&T, granted. Stankey is a monumental c-word. But both were, to say the least, confident and brash about their awfulness and invented lots of new words and business strategies to take money-wasting to new heights (and the stock to new lows). At the very least, they are 'exciting' to watch as they stoke(d) the dumpster fire.

But who were/are the most lackluster leaders? We're talking C-suite or maybe a level below. The ones whose original ideas couldn't fill a shotglass. The emptiest of the empty suits. The spouters of unending nonsense who just weren't cut out to fit the personality, presence, or gravitas of a leader, much less fulfill their roles.

I'll start.

Thaddeus Arroyo - we---e who should never be put in front of a camera. A weak, ineffective, milquetoaste loser who had to be sent to acting school to learn how to move his hands when he spoke. And then when he did, they fidgeted nervously up and down without regard to what he was saying.

Anne Chow - a relentless self-promoter who could only read teleprompters and never had an original idea cross her head. Drooled over because of her eMpOwERmEnt oF wOMeN persona despite having ended the careers of thousands of high-potential women.

OK, next?

Mo Katibeh : demoted from CMO business to network. Biggest self promoting, arrogant , “cook the books” guy. When T finally caught on to him, he hopped and landed a sweet deal at RingCentral and got sh-t canned a few weeks ago. Leaves laughing with a big paycheck leaving behind smoking ruins…

Hmm. Me and many of my fellow 'oldies' have been whacked by now. And the stock still tumbles. Maybe we weren't the problem after all. Enjoy your distress kids

It’s very simple. Never expect the ones who created the problems to solve the problems. They all need to go.
