Comp announcement

Anyone have any insight into some comp changes that’s going to be announced soon?

Is it a change in systems used….. more cuts to benefits & comp?

Any info is appreciated

Yep, that’s the way that I remember it too… right down to the 2% raise after three years of zilch. It’s actually kind of hard to read the current complaints from people who have no idea how badly we were treated here.

People have no idea how bad it was.

I remember. Then the following year they announced how important it was that we get a raise & they were less that 2%.

@bpxt we skipped a year in 2k8 AND moved the effective date back 3 months. Or was it 4?

Who remembers the two consecutive one and a half year waits for raises which effectively meant that they skipped a year? They’re devilish I tell you.

Think like an owner and buy more as the RSU's now cost $8.53 less each!

Nobody ever went broke by overpaying!

Oh… wait…

No change in the systems used… we haven’t had HR developers who understand , let alone can develop in… let alone even correct or fix our Byzantine Rube Goldberg mishmosh of Buck and other vendors all cobbled together.

So, no… People in HR systems are absolutely terrified to make even the simplest changes. The only functionality which still works is parametrized cuts in any and all benefits.

Any info is appreciated

Don’t forget the pension plan… BONY raided Mellon’s overfunded plan to shore up their underfunded plan. Mellon employed received fifty cents on the dollar of promised pension.

Benefits and/or Comp have been cut every year since 2008 without fail. Some of them were quite devilish. The 401K matching cuts were as stealthy as they were ingenious.. such as the 7% match that was actually a 6% match…. . The medical has been a disaster ever since the “Affordable Healthcare Act” deemed it a “Cadillac Plan”, taxed it and BNYM promptly cut it deeply. This created severe financial hardship for our family with several consecutive $20K healthcare years. My work friends were all on their spouse’s plans so we followed their lead. My wife job jumped for years to keep real medical.

The GS people stomped their big feet and threw a child like fit over waiting until February for incentive bonus so Robin is moving our incentive bonus to January.
