That was BS served up by a PR company that specializes in spreading ESG messages. Yet more grifters getting CSCO money.
I remember the good old days when Cisco hired people based on merit.
I've seen the software from the late 1990s forward and it certainly wasn't in that time frame.
"A company isn't crowned "best place to work in the U.S." for a third year in a row by chance."
Nope it takes a lot of well placed financial investment to make that happen.
I remember the good old days when Cisco hired people based on merit.
How poorly run is a company that hired people who can't work with others who have irrelevant work unrelated differences, and clearly after all the training still can't figure it out?
From https://www.cbsnews.com/news/everyone-thinks-they-are-above-average/
In studies, most people overestimate their IQ. For instance, in a classic 1977 study, 94 percent of professors rated themselves above average relative to their peers. In another study, 32 percent of the employees of a software company said they performed better than 19 out of 20 of their colleagues.
When you are declaring the "other" to be less capable than yourself realize there is a good chance you severely overestimated your own ability.
From the article: "Last fiscal year, more than 2,500 Cisconians accumulated almost 34,000 hours of structured DEI learning"
Only large fat companies like Cisco can afford to waste resources on this scale.
Since all the DEI stuff came about, every job I apply for asks my race and s-x.
Everybody should just click "I choose not to disclose".
DEI and DEI at cisco is a cancer that will devour and destroy its host. All just a matter of time.
