Why Wireline Will Be Sold ( To BrightSpeed???)

https://www.fool.com/investing/2023/09/13/t-mobile-outperforming-verizon-att-how-much/

It's not so much what T-Mobile is doing, but what it isn't doing. For instance, T-Mobile isn't bogged down by a telecom business in Latin America that lost $39 million last quarter and lost $326 million last year. AT&T is. T-Mobile isn't maintaining a fiber-based cable television service that's losing customers but is still too big to simply shut down. Verizon is. Meanwhile, T-Mobile isn't being forced to take care of any legacy landlines leading all the way to businesses and homes. Both AT&T and Verizon are.

"....the wireless management caused the downfall of this company"

Amen! Denny, Fran, Mike et al were also the reason why the company began its fetish for letters to add to the back of your name, because all of the crew that they brought into Corporate fell on their faces in embarrassing ways that surprised them when compared to their compatriots in Corporate and Wireline.

All of the bad and arrogant decisions came following the Wireless takeover. That is also why Ellis had to be brought in to make some sense of what was happening, and why it made sense for him to leave when he did.

Right now the company is treading water until it can find a new management team that is hungry for success in a moribund market which is owned by T-Mobile and Optimum. The Board of Directors, Hans and the Executive team need a good spanking for letting that happen.

Hahaha!!! Bad argument and boring grammar. FiOS is the only division that isn’t bleeding customers.

Verizon built there wireless business on the back of the wireline profits and infrastructure
Everything went well until actual competition showed up and exposed the wireless house of cards
Mismanagement and poor planning has lead to the current crisis not legacy costs

Also, T Mob didn’t buy a bunch of useless mm wave spectrum, or yahoo, or go 90. Or way overpay Vodafone for full control of vzw. Don’t forget those gems.
