Our manager said nothing, but can I assume that we're safe for the remainder of this round? I can't imagine why they would spread layoffs within one group to more than one day. But then again, you can never tell with this bank and especially with this management.

Ours group was hit ok?
But at least the head of HR lets the board check the correct DEI boxes.
Thanks for the clarification, and I totally agree with you. That word threw me. Despite numerous experience with layoffs in prior decades BNYM HR has never understood that employees need answers and care when displaced.
@2trn, I'm referring to the way employees are fired.
I once worked for a company that had hundreds of thousands of employees in 1990 and has fewer than 5,000 today. There were constantly layoffs but they handled them humanely. They would emphasize the severance benefits and assistance, give a percentage of people affected, the timeframe of the rankings and eventually a date where everybody was told if they were impacted or not. We'd know we were good for a year or so and know we had at least 3 months warning before the next downsizing. People hate change, but they hate the unknown more. BK could easily reduce the unknown and eliminate unnecessary suffering.
“Stalking Employees” LOL.
People need to get a grip. Asking people to come into their workplace to actually work is far from stalking employees. We had the WFH era and productivity dropped. This is why we’re stalking… er, asking people to show up for work.
Risk & Compliance
Never heard of an R & C group. Can you tell us what the group name is?
R & C was hit hard. Arbitrary cuts.
Am still in disbelief how, why, but mostly how this was delivered to me.
No, you can't assume you're safe. Our incompetent "leaders" get a kick out of stalking employees and keeping them looking over their shoulders. It makes them feel important to have top secret things to keep from the peons and is just an extension of how they treat all employees like school children, even professionals.
Although sorry for everyone impacted including all of us left behind that still aren’t ‘safe’
‘Ours’ is not helpful
Ours.
What group was hit?
