Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Who else is applying outside this weekend?

I don’t want to stay on this Titanic , this company has no future and anyone who thinks it does should sign up to be Bozo the clown

It can be a numbers game. I say apply to anything and everything that you find interesting and could be qualified for. Even that, you don't necessarily need to have done that job before - but if you think your existing skill set would allow you to transition into that new role, I say apply and be prepared to explain that during an interview.

Good luck out there!

Good luck at another OEM, no one outside of the other big3 would touch the bad habits Ford creates

Look on the bright side...being paid $100k and benefits to push papers and follow inefficient processes. No need to bust you hump. Not a bad gig.

I just past 10 years and am honestly through with this company, all these garbage inefficient processes, the incompetent upper management and handcuffs placed upon the engineers.
Engineering at Ford's is stifled with all the processes, what a joke. How can anyone resolve any issues or make decisions at the engineering level with all the hurdles one has to jump over. Paperwork is is all this company is about, no wonder we have all these issues with our product lineup. Every major problem in the past few years has been pointed out by the D&R's during the development phase. All the issues now being experienced by the customer is due to managements inability to make empower the GSR . . .
All this company has become is paperwork, no engineering!
What's the path forward, obviously more VP's, let's get some new processes, go see the problem and some of Toyota's past initiative from 30 years ago. Lucky we have hired Captain-Obvious so develop such a "new charter going forward".

I wanted to buy a Ford Maverick, but Ford never even answers their emails about questions. Too sketchy to trust. If I can’t get service and answers BEFORE the sale, whats it gonna be like afterwards ? Never mind then. Something is definitely broke.
