Anyone know if there will be Q4 furloughs for direct employees? Last round only affected indirect employees.

Also remember that furloughs are like a loan, they have to be paid back at some point.
This means that to boost the quarterly figures now the lost hours will damage the business later in the year and the furlough cycle continues slowly eroding more and more value until jobs have to go.....and then a business unit....it is a slow death spiral.
I think the chances a looking very high based on history and our current situation.
I would plan for it then it can only be a bonus if it does not happen, there are no morals here unfortunately.
With the current economic climate it will hurt me now more than ever, my rent and bills are just crazy and it sickens me knowing that it is just to fill corporate pockets.
Why does it matter? Furlough is free vacation. You need money - well spend less.
They hit NC last year furlough and RIF, same at Fort Mill, SC.
I don't really know why they keep Fort Mill open other than the tiny testing labs which would be way cheaper to operate out of Mexico, but there you go. I keep waiting with hope for a RIF as I know I have an open invitation to one of our competitors and I just need the incentive to move my lazy ar5e. I quiet quit a loooong time back.
Remember the holidays are coming. I've been here 11 years. In those 11 years, somewhere in the company. There's been a furlough or RIF.
They will get their quarterly numbers. These are just some of the tactics that they use to accomplish that goal. On the backs of their employees.
I don't think I've ever seen him cut from corporate North Carolina. I don't think they ever cut from aerospace headquarter located in Arizona. If I'm riding somebody will correct me, just keep being a Future shaper.
