It’s been a hard month, or sorry - past hard few months. Especially for those who are in sales, stay strong, this isn’t gonna be easy, even with the new “promos” and iPhone out, that doesn’t mean a lot of sales and orders. Even with fiber as well.
I’m very burnt out, I don’t know if it’s just because of everything that’s been occurring, or I don’t know.
C'mon, HR has no problem hiring clueless, brainless ret@rds to make their quotas... Just use the same method they use........
Anyone in small business mobility and fiber are getting totally screwed right now. Targets for some level 2 sellers are almost double from 2022 goals all while we have slowed new fiber expansion down to almost a standstill. There are around 900 fiber sellers in the nation and last year about half were over 50% to their quotas. This year it’s even worse. People that have been here for 10-20 years and worked up to Level 2 and 3 sellers now have unattainable goals without cheating. This is setting them all up for being fired due to not achieving a non realistic quota. At least the people being laid off are getting $40k-$70k severance and can still file for unemployment at some point.
To anyone hating on sales you clearly haven’t been a seller. Imagine having a target of 80 mobile line activations a month with no leads or a fiber seller that has to get 12 broadband sales and 3 dedicated fiber sales a month. For those that don’t know what dedicated fiber is it’s a product that starts around $600/month. And don’t forget these sellers can’t sell to “platinum” or “global” accounts. Strictly mom and pop type businesses and we have less than 10% or the country covered in Fiber broadband available.
Noticeable declines this year in what people are willing to pay for pipes and ports. Also declines in growth across most sectors. It is going to get very bad very soon. I think this is just the start of an economic death spiral. And wireless? Forget about it. It is a commodity. I’d make better commissions selling roofs.
Sales teams at at&t have had it far too easy for far too long. They were riding the gravy train, now it's time to face reality and start living like the rest of us here at a&t. Most of us can't pay off a house in 20 years, let alone one year! These cats were living the good life, now it's all over, thank goodness.
Sales is great with the right compensation plan and market to sell into. I paid off an expensive house one year. I was selling telecommunications services to large business customers in NYC, NJ and CT.
I can't directly speak to T-Mobile retail sales which I'm sure is a different ballgame, but it's still sales.
I’m not envious of sales groups that have quotas. That’s gotta be rough.
He-l i feel ya on this one! Cant even get inventory into retail stores! None! Really sad for Dallas to do its employees and customers! Overseas! Yulp! All these people pour into the store cause they refuse to talk to over seas! Causes hostile work flow for sure! When you ask ARSM bout inventory, everyone just says the AT&T answer, I dunno!
Would you invest your time into a company that has a American customer base and chooses to ship American jobs overseas, impacts American Families in over 300 cities and giving them a move yourself if you want the job(btw that is moving overseas)? All the while being reminded you are not in the executive club and you have no future!!! Lastly the business plan is if you dont like it hear go somewhere else? Thats a business plan? Come on people - wake up. Hey here is an idea. If this is your company's plan maybe you should be forced to sell your stuff in only those 9 cities. It's called a boycott - Wow shocker. Bring back American Jobs you greedy people so our American youth have a future.
