I was talking with my manager about how I was home shopping with commute time being one of my top priorities.
Anyway he told me (off the record) that the office is expected to be closed by 12/31/2024 but had no information beyond that.

There’s a lot of empty space in Wellesley that’s not part of BNY Mellon’s lease.
Management goal is to have development teams physically embedded with BNY operations teams in a true Agile workflow so Wellesley office closure will be formally announced by mid 2024
I am told they are hoping for a lot of attrition and also layoffs. Some folks will remain but not finalized whether they can work remotely or will be asked to relocate

Can’t fit them in westborough. Not enough room, if we had to all come in three days or more we wouldn’t fit.

They just updated westborough so if the office closes, the employees will probably be dispersed between westborough, everett, and Boston. Boston had a large number of interns this year and I know Robin wants to double the intern class next year, so Boston will remain a big focus.
