Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Talking points..

Does the bank actually think we’re buying the BS talking points around the minimum wage increase reasoning?! It’s not to bring in strong new talent so they can offer more rolls to tenured employees.. it’s just to push out dedicated employees with an abundance of experience and knowledge so they can pay these new kids less. But it’s going to backfire nicely when the new generation moves in and expects to be fully remote- and they won’t settle for anything less.

Grabbing the popcorn… Can’t wait to watch this $hit show haha!

PS- also STOP with the absurd talking points regarding “great benefits”! They’re just great tax breaks for the bank that will never roll to us again.

The funny part is that we can’t comment on the article in Flagscape regarding this. Every other article has a comments section. They do not want employees expressing them selves. Lol. Sc--w this place.

So now we are complaining about raising the minimum? It never ends with some of you. Stop worrying that new hires will make more than you did a few years ago. Worry about you.

Pay for performance means they're paying you to perform like a new hire..... so make stupid mistakes, cause losses, and waste as much time as possible

My spouse came home after work yesterday and complained about the minimum wage being raised again for new hires. After 20+ solid years with the company, $1.50 more today compared to a new hire. What is BOFA's end goal besides getting rid of the bottom earners? How come BOFA not giving pay raises at the same time minimum wage goes up to make up for the tenure difference. Now my spouse's morale is extremely low as someone with several years to retirement is making $1.50 more compared to a person who may have recently graduated high school. FYI...My spouse is getting a free lunch today. Unbelievable!!!

Brian believes we are all the same little cogs. He wants a min wage for everyone which is the same as a the max wage he wants for everyone, except him and directs. He gets a nice fat check while all the minions make the same small salary. He's a fraud

It's less of an age thing and more of a blatant disrespect for the employees CURRENTLY employed. Why the focus on minimum wage when the bank is on a HIRING freeze? It's PR tactict to distract away from the message that is being sent to internal employees that they are not wanted. The banks are notorious for behaving this way when they no longer need you but this is different now, people with tenure really dedicated themselves to the work during the pandemic making record profits for the company/shareholders only to be treated like sh*t in the "post covid era" even though ppl are getting it at work still. People should be fed up. Why offer "great benefits" employees are bullied if you use them.
There is a member of upper management that is actively dissuading employees from using FMLA or...
They need to reign in the fear factor or it's likely that people will start going to the press to add counterpoints to the PR tactics.

Anyone under 25 and in leadership role here on the forum, perhaps they can candidly share their thoughts about the above?

I don’t need the bank to offer more rolls. A croissant once in a while would be a nice change.
