I just heard the 26th. Off payroll by Thanksgiving.
@bjrx+1oImRiZs - us MCI old timers have already been moved to HCLTech effective 10/31. That means the only people left to RIF are remaining Wireline (mostly Union protected) and Wireless (no protection). If I were a wireless worker, I would be job hunting.
Many old timers from MCI in VZ Business may need to be put to pasture.
Are we talking Riffs or offshoring?

There is no money in the coffers for employees as the corporate balance sheet is stampeded with cow manure.
I doubt there will be any layoffs due to the huge workload.
Sillmans VGS is a large org, and it had its own riffs this year, in some cases entire teams from the AD down, in addition to Directors. Just assume no group is safe, and plan for it.
My guesstimate rumor is 33.33% across the board.
20% of the wireline managers all levels,same on the wireless side maybe more than 20-30%

I was in a meeting today and management stated there will be another RIF before end of the year but no dates or departments given. Also there will be at least 2 next year at minimum. Announcement is supposed to be soon along with targets that we failed to meet and how T-Mobile is outperforming VZ.
