Vz/CWA contract tops out in the 80s for their technians along with a better overall benefits package, overtime rules, and job security. Is your 4% union dues worth that?
No thanks. Not a fan of the seniority system. There is a lot of dead weight that have been around for too long that need to go. Also I don't feel like paying union dues... already have enough deductions from my paycheck.
Or you can do what I did and just quit. I didn’t wait around for a union.
We didn’t ask for any of this. We’ve been telling leadership for YEARS how bad we are treated but the EMT continues the abuse. The only way to make them hear us and treat us like people is to unionize. We have to!
@dbn+1oLBF6fp, Crown doesn’t owe you anything just like you don’t owe Crown anything. It’s not a prison. You have no “rights”. The only “right” you have is the right to walk away if you don’t agree with Crown.

Of course they don’t owe anyone a job, but they do have an expectation to treat the people that work there well while they are there.
Time to have that discussion. It’s clear the leadership won’t deal with you in a honest way. But with a union they will have to respect you.
