Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Literally lack of work in Model E

There has been no new concrete work done in our organization in the last 6-7 months
It seems all are having some honeymoon time. My LL3 is traveling on business trips. LL4s are just chilling. LL5s are having some 'pretend to work' moments. The few good GSRs who are left also taking it slowly.

It was the same when we WERE working in an office with a desk of our own.

We just sat at our desks and attended WebEx meetings all day.

@1xdf+1oMBeBC Time to return to office.

I'd gladly return to the office if I could have my full-time desk back and not have to carry a laptop back and forth.

I agree, you could cut 20% of my team and they could still do the same output. We spend a full day a week in 100+ person tech meetings where nothing gets actioned. The axe can’t come soon enough.

Hey. Work from home just like any other Ford employees. Take advantage of WFH and finish up with some home renovations. Take a vacation without your boss know about it and call into the meeting act like you are working from home.

It's a game of pretending for the ford employees. It's call Quiet Quitter.

Maybe you can transfer to the Marshall battery plant.

Yah, in well run companies. This place certainly hasn't been that under the two Jims. Car-car is clueless, clueless, and Moonbeam was giving Abe Simpson a run for his money in pointless stories.

“Lack of work” in any particular area is usually cause for layoff in well run companies.
