I noticed two of my Skype contacts were missing this morning and I can’t find them in the directory. Are the layoff wheels in motion?

Personally heard of quite a few layoffs/terminations for differing reasons. At this point cover your own @sses and don't worry about helping leadership- they are not there for you.
People are not being laid off en masse
Instead it is a small group being let go
You will not notice one big group but check around Monday for any missing teammates/peers
Just like I said 10/6 was a bunch of cr-p. Nobody is getting laid between now and end of 2023.
Here we are, today is 10/6.
Vote down if you got layoff notice.
Vote up if you haven’t heard yet
Who knows anyone that has been laid off? Which areas?
Jpmorgan employee no sure if all the site but Tempe been told if they voluntarily want to cut a day of work a week so will be like 4/8 shorting 32 hr a month. Are they doing this no to layoff people ? Pipelines going down on mortgage
10/6 will come and go and we will all still be here. Maybe some will get a different role but no layoffs.
10/6 - Chop Chop !
⚠️ alert ⚠️
Go on leave if you can until it settles
On 16th Oct, they are lifting the ban from hiring.
@ @7zax+1oMLkQu1 Care to elaborate on the reorg you speak of?
@1ebr+1oMLkQu1
Hahaha, didn’t even see this was already a comment
10/6 is almost here…
They’ve quietly cut back in a few areas.. like remember those global recognition awards we used to receive? They’ve been on pause all quarter.
Our sector can't survive without constant QE. It was a fun while it lasted.
Fwiw, BoA stock is down 50% from last year.
Not looking good.
Just received a re-org announcement so people are being shuffled around.
Everybody is laying off. It's either us or Wells Fargo that's going under. Look at both our FHLB and BTFP numbers. Yikes.
We do not GAF!! Signed EMPLOYEES

Loyalty not being rewarded is not the same as people nearing retirement age not having ba--s or talent.
Some people are naturally loyal by nature and everyone has something to offer regardless of age.
This company was built on the backs of these tenured associates. The bank can go through "transition periods" without treating people like cr-p or allowing their leadership to treat people, especially our elders as less than.
folks, we have a kiddo (@4mwi+1oMLkQu1) here :-)
Listen to you people... "Please lay me off" stfu. If you had any ba--s or talent, u would go elsewhere if u felt that way. U r mad a BOA, but in reality, u r probably close to retirement and have not talent or drive any longer..... but it's the banks fault....
You will find out on 10/6
I’m pretty sure October 6 means nothing just meant to see who will ask what October 6 means lol
What does October 6th mean posted below?
Just wait until Business Banking and Small Business merge into one unit. We will see fallout no doubt. Either in the form of BB leaving or layoffs.
To @2cyu+1oMLkQu1
Thank you, we will stay strong! 😊💪🏻
To @2rup+1oMLkQu1 I know exactly what you mean! However, I am over 60 and the constant changes make it impossible not to be hit by QA. I pretty much feel trapped because “ageism” is real. I need my health insurance and honestly, BOA is pretty great in that department. Keep on fighting, I will too — we’ve got this!! 💪🏻
October 6th
Anyone know if call center agents over 50 are being “quietly” cut? I feel like the expected metrics are getting more and more impossible to meet. It literally feels like abuse.
I know one B3 that got redeployed to a B4 a while back. Ba----d deserved it though. He was stubborn and stayed in that B4 spot until they gave up and gave him a package.
"What's that ? Ah-layoffs? Don't talk about layoffs? You kidding me? Layoffs? I just hope this bank can find a mother fu--a to layoff from this shlithole!!!!!
They are redeploying people for 3 months in hope they will leave and if not the are severing them or giving them an undesirable role option or resign - depends on the group. I know several B3 and B4 leaders impacted …
Our department is playing musical chairs in lieu of offering severance packages. Some ppl have been moved multiple times but were made to stay in their role for a year while not being able to post out. We just had someone in the other building retire but rumor is they reported leadership misbehavior before leaving. Everyone who needs their job is petrified of vindictive leadership.
If you have an offer, take it.
I wish they laid me off! I would take the severance in a heartbeat. This place su-ks!
Most couldn't hack it. So they had to be let go.
I have great offers outside the Bank, would be interested if they are offering severance packages. I don't know how/whom to reach.
You still use Skype?
100% they are doing layoffs, specifically validated in consumer bank. They have been offering severance packages. I know probably 7 people who were laid off silently, they are doing a decent job keeping it quiet considering how many
it’s possible they were quietly given a new reduced-scope role and/or told they a certain amount of time to find a new position and simply decided to bail.
