@6rgz+1oNRJ9s2 - your statement regarding severance is incorrect. All employees rebadged to HCL were guaranteed severance for the next 2 years if layed off. Same as VZ - 2 weeks pay for every year service called at 35 with medical coverage. It is in our offer letters.

I agree after 2 years all bets are off, but we won’t make it that long there.

You'll be sent a form to complete. You'll need to select an office to report to for a specified number of days each week. If you're unwilling to do what is necessary to agree to this, VZ will consider it to be your resignation. Failure to complete the form by the deadline will also be considered your resignation.
As you separated voluntarily, there will be no severance. In most states there will be no unemployment.
They have done this, and similar tactics, in the past.

Very few people are eligible for VZ's official Severance Package. I'd encourage all to look at it on the company site and understand severance is for new hire/low band employees. The 'packages' that folks have often received, like 1 week of pay for every year of service etc, that IS NOT severance! Anyone associated to the payroll selloff to HCL that reads about severance in the letter they signed needs to know this has nothing to do with them per VZ's severance policy. Nobody who is being sold off to HCL is getting any of that, ever.

I’m RTO in a “hub” and have nearly a whole floor to myself. Well over a hundred empty chairs all to myself. Thanks Sam I feel like such a motivated part of the VZ team.

When unionites go out on disability or FMLA it only makes it easier for us to justify reducing our union workforce permanently. So, please, the more the merrier. Get your butts home. It makes my job MUCH easier.

They got rid of a bunch of real estate and are saving tons of money so I highly doubt there will be RTO. Where would they go. VZ lease the spaces all over again? I doubt it.
The lazy people are worse working from home and the decent workers are getting more lazy as time goes on. Seems like the company is just on a downward spiral. So sad

Could be true, as Scampath is always looking for an audience to sing and dance and BS in front of. This dude needs attention like the company needs a miracle now.
