It won't be going higher ex-div... in fact at this rate we might be lucky to get the 0.666 div drop back this year. Until VZ gets rid of that Swedish Meatball, this stock is not likely to be going back up. He's even making grandpa Joe look intelligent & that's a might low bar.
But at least he knows what “mood” he's in every day… sigh.
In January 2022, the stock was in the low 52's, and now the 32's. That is a 40% loss of stock value, 4 times the average stock last year. The didvidend is a problem that they canb;t fix.
FYI - The equity always goes Down by the amount of the dividend that is paid out on the ex-dividend date. Always. It might eventually recover that amount a few day's or week's later. The equities markets are in a Major Downturn except for Oil, consumer staples; and some healthcare.
