Is this buddy of yours reliable? Which departments are going to be impacted?

@1ijo I agree with everything you said, but it is completely irresponsible to post guarantees that D day is on a particular date (because you supposedly have special inside knowledge) when it is not cast in stone. People have been on edge for 2, 3 years and dont need to read speculation from azzhats every week. After a while you just get worn down from the typical Fordiness of it all.
No layoffs. Ford just received $9.2 billion government loan. Ford can stay in business for another 2 years. 👍
If you think that more layoffs aren't coming you're high. The layoffs we've had are no where near the numbers Fartley has been parroting for 2 years. LCCs are still the priority. Ford will fund the settlement with the UAW by accelerating that priority.
No one is safe. The next round will cut far and deep. I'm the buddy of the disgruntled LL4 and he assures me that it is coming. He says he can't say much due to his NDA but that there are reasons the dates get leaked and then pushed back. Most of it stems from HR's lack of readiness. There are a ton of logistics around all of this: paperwork, funding, legal and regulatory, coordinated actions (all of above along with ITO and IT forensics (yes Ford has such a thing!)) means that dates are targeted, but then delayed due to not having all that in place.
End of August and end of September were targets. But the go-no-go meetings ended up pushing them out.
From what I can gather it appears this will happen in the next 5-6 weeks. Management doesn't want it too close to the holidays, so mid-November is likely.
The leaks will continue as this entire thing evolves. But make no mistake, it is coming.
This should be a lesson to everyone on this board who reads all those "I guarantee D-day is September the......". Dont listen to these parasites, because it will just make your day worse. By the way, isnt it funny that famous poster "F150 guy" doesnt show up anymore? He was wrong 95% of the time with his predictions of layoffs and all he accomplished was to upset people who were already tense.
If you read this F150 guy: phu-qu!
Bracket Group business as usual.
We're clean and green.
There are no layoffs. Ford took a $9 billion loan from the government to keep the plants lights on.
