Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I’m embarrassed to work here

I honestly feel my resume is getting worse and worse the longer I stay here:

This is a C player company, full of mediocre people who aren’t good enough to get a job else where

Oh how original, another OP claiming how great they are, yet they are the ones sitting on this site posting cr-p.

LEAVE. It really is that simple. Leave. No one wants to work next to someone like you anyway. We're all tired of whiners with superiority complexes

Don’t stay too long or you will be unemployable. Ford hires good people but after working at the company for years people are moved around so much that they have exposure to a lot of roles without deep experience in anything. In addition Ford positions are so narrowly defined that you won’t know how to do anything start to finish. When I was let go it was difficult to find another position because I had become a generalist while most positions wanted a specialist.

I am getting my 3rd interview next week with Tesla. Hopefully, I will get the job.

After being here for almost 4 years, I have learned nothing but to become better liar and bs. I am ashamed to work here and seeing what's going on within the company.

It’s good you are self aware enough to realize your skills are deteriorating.
Leave if you can, don’t wither and die on the vine.

Some people are self aware enough to realize how poor their skills have become, and have a rude awakening when they are given the old heave ho. They resort to conning their way into a series of new jobs, from each they are quickly released due to lack of performance. It is sad to watch.

Get out before you become unemployable elsewhere. When people join Ford they are very enthusiastic to make a big difference but as time goes on they become stupid working with other stupids. It is blind leading the blind. If you are good and care about yourself get the he-l out of here as soon as possible. Don't cry after few years. Damage will be severe.

That's exactly how I feel after working here for the past 4 years. I have lost my talent from working at Ford. The two things that I can do well now are Excel spreadsheets and PPT.
I have to lie on my resume and during the interview trying to get a job with another company. I am embarrassed telling people that I still work at Ford.
