modern Cisco routers support secure boot. those hackers are targeting legacy devices like c2600/c2800 etc for this firmware hack.

I work for a bank based in Socal. We just replaced 80+ Cisco firewalls with Palo Altos. Night and day difference in terms of features and usability.

Been an ASA guy since early 2000s. Sad to see the downfall.
