Sadly I see this as only another tick on some executives sheet as to why they need to move work out of the states… the Union is ki-ling work…40 percent pay raise… really?? At that rate they better off building a whole new plant in Mexico and working over there.. oh wait they already have done that… get ready boys, the writing is on the wall soon this will all be gone.
I know of 2.5 million immigrants who would travel thousands of miles across rivers and desert and seeing loved ones die just for a chance at any paycheck...
Ford need to shutdown all plants for a few months. Ford can save millions of $$$ and get rid of the unions, the Quiet Quitters, those who are working from home, half of the salary workforce. This will be good for the company.
Thank you Captain Obvious!
Said the guy who somehow missed the news about the $9.2 billion dollar LOAN. Oh and hey while you're not paying attention, copper prices are NOT going down and EV prices are going up. You gotta sell cars to make this work including paying back the loan. At least in this universe, that's how it works.
And those layoffs will be the fault of Ford who dragged their feet and refused to negotiate for a full month. It's almost as if the automakers don't know what to do when the union leader isn't bought off by them, and is actually working for a better deal for labor.
Its time for Ford to put up and share profits with stakeholders instead of just shareholders.
