Who cares who the top 10 BEVs are in China.

Focus on our strengths:

  • #1 in vehicle recalls
  • We own a train station
  • We have DEI (do you actually think they have anything like that in China; well there was that cultural revolution back in 1966 - similar concepts - purge anyone who doesn't agree with your ideas - BUT they do not have DEI today!)
  • We have Bill Ford
  • We have Jim Farley (he is a race car driver in case you didn't realize)

I question the accuracy of the sales data presented by the OP.

FMVSS in the US would have required every single Chinese manufacturer to recall their products. Can you imagine what 600-700 arbitrary ignition events/yr taking place in your garage, airports, parking lots, recharging stations, grass lands etc., would look like in the US? Then there's this:

https://www.cnn.com/2023/02/27/energy/china-new-coal-plants-climate-report-intl-hnk/index.html

So to meet the mounting power demand, China approved the building of TWO new COAL powered power plants per week last year! EV's can be a useful addition to mobility if they can be made safe. Flipping the switch to go "all in" doesn't make sense in a lot of ways. Air quality might not be too spectacular in the near future.

LOL, don't know what else to say.

China typically cultivates a national winner. A US domestic will never be the Chinese market leader. They pick the winners and they would never pick a US domestic, would we?

To be fair, china is the only reason Lincoln is still around

There will be over 7 million BEV sold in China, Ford maybe able to sell 1,200 units this year. It's time for Ford to get the he-l out of if you can't compete.
