Does this layoff affects Consultants and Vendors ?

I doubt anyone is safe. Why would a contactor or consultant be safe once contacts are up? They are free game like everyone else. Money is money. If they can save trimming in this area too, they will do so. It's always good to be looking for other opportunities and networking when this stuff is going on whether your and employee or not. Believe me, people are looking out for themselves and may not be openly discussing in the office because the officr has big ears.
Usuaully contracts that are already in progress have been budgeted for already. This will defiantely effect future contracts but probably not current ones. Besides after they shitcna half your team who do you think is going to do all the work? LOL
