No marketing will help us if prices we offer are much higher than the competition… nutanix price point is miles lower no wonder HX is gone.

They increased bonus payout knowing they would be cutting people and spent 28bn in nothing..

I am a Cisco employee and I was notified yesterday that my role is made redundant because of $. I wonder why we would spend $28B for Splunk and burn our cash for a declining company. The seller in Splunk who closed the deal was a better seller and had a great lawyer with them. The sentiments are low.

Yes, it is confirmed news - many Partner Sales and architecture people were impacted in Cisco yesterday.
Some folks are saying the cut could be as deep as 15% (this one I am not too sure)
The sentiments is low - everyone is refreshing their outlook for any 1:1 email from manager with HR included :-(

I have a marketing idea. Let's label every product line a 9K. Nexus 9k, Catalyst 9K, Wireless 9K, MDS 9K, ASR 9K. I'm not a fan of layoffs but there's obviously a need for marketing improvements. Branch routing? No - that should be an 8K.
