Late this past September Chief Development Officer and Head of Technology Rich Chung left the bank. No announcement. Just poof* gone.

Fu-k anyone who had anything to do with this bullsh-t "transformation." Fu-k Chainsaw Charlie, fu-k TK, fu-k SVB... criminal leadership was better than these a--holes.
It's not just soft skills, you will need effective political skills to navigate the corrupt, toxic environment at Wells Fargo. We have too many vultures and sharks here. Unless you are part of the privileged class, boy scouts will not survive.
RC’s main failure was his inability to build true LOB partnerships during his 4+ year attempt and relied too much on his tech “product owners” to guide him. He is a super smart tech dude, but zero soft skills needed for the other “half” of any transformational effort. Once SVB bounced and TK came in, he saw an opening, slithered out and su-kered Tony D into taking his role. Doesn’t matter, they get paid and we get stuck stomping out the flaming dog excr-ment backlog.
@3gsa+1oYq8dZn Looking back (been over a year) Wells tech was a mess. First, the project managers were more like layered facilitators than managing the technical process. Not a single one was certified (PMI ). Then came the business execution consultants who were supposed to make the BRDs. Instead, they just took down notes. Not a single one was certified (IIBA). Then they tried to make everyone aware of the cloud and get "cloud certified" by forcing everyone to pass some silly Microsoft sales certification (AZ ??).
I could go on and on... How every project in my 10+ years was a different SDLC, how bad... no really bad... the code was. How it had to be re-engineered in order to get upgraded. And the test resources were non-existent and so it goes. The final straw was to see the applications (as well as the code) transferred from the stagecoach to the rickshaw.
Before Agile, we had cr-ppy requirements in BRDs. Now we have nothing as the business refuses to write user stories. I guess we're more agile. Right?

The Agile Transformation is a failure. More of those responsible should get the axe. They have no clue how things work in the real world.
A lot of RC's agile cultists still remain peddling their junk. A colossal waste of money and effort.
RC was a junior guy in a senior role by SVB.
Now that they have shooed SVB away, TK discovering that a lot of the SVB crew was unqualified. Tk will replicate that model in her own way- get more junior people in for these roles
Tracy Kerrins is a joke. She has no right to be leading technology. God help us.
In my experience when there is no email or it’s a very short one, the person went to a competitor. Pretty simple.
Chung's agile transformation has failed and his little group of dev=up people failed too.
Oh great the Truist headcase is here now
TK needed to make room for that brilliant hire of Ken M from Truist. WF Technology is just screwed up. TK is in over her head and was asked to step down from her previous employer. Now she hires Ken M from Truist who was getting cut as part of their downsizing and was another one of those , I am great and I will lead but you do the work and I get the credit. 2 birds of a feather.
who cares
all I see are a bunch of BS posts and no explanation of what happened
It will never not be hilarious (and obvious) that @uks+1oYq8dZn sits there and upvotes his own comments whenever they get a single downvote.
@cxl+1oYq8dZn They're paranoid weirdos who got su-kered into a cult of personality. They don't understand how the world works and that scares them, so they've instead built this cartoonish conspiracy of villains they can pretend to wrap their minds around.
lol no, they're not, Chicken Little
Because they are destroying the company and firing all of us via outsourcing and contracting?
Why do the board nutcases obsess over these empty suits?
Don't worry, Truist just sent you our BEST tech guy to fill his shoes!
Word on the street is TK made advances on him after filming one of her travel tik tok. RC was not up for it, thus, she turned the proverbial screws and ole RC jumped ship. K
He is a smart guy, but was given odd roles like ‘managing Agile’ and I never felt he was making impact. He has an impressive background, stayed on till he found another gig…I guess.
He wasn’t Head of Technology, that is what Saul called himself. I think Richard was Head of the Office of the Head of Technology or something similarly stupid.
No one good at their job is protected by DEI, nor would they need protection. In spite of what the talking heads claim, companies fall all over themselves trying to get competent employees, regardless of what they look like. Sure, maybe Cletus's Tire Shop in BF might have discriminatory hiring practices, but no place anyone would actually want to work is discriminating against, anyone except maybe white dudes thanks to DI&E.
what happened?

Have a colleague who blatantly reminds everyone of their protected status for being an older Asian. Considering some of the outrageous things this person says & does yet still has a job, tells me said person is indeed protected.
