Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford, stop apologizing for poor quality. Don't try to meet the unrealistic standards of

others. Just be yourself, and everything will work out. Others should stop quality-shaming and worry about themselves.

If a vehicle shopper was considering a number of options, and Ford was one of them, which Ford vehicle would come recommended from the Ford employees as the most reliable and best value ?

The DEI lady from HR and my Harvard MBA LL4 both told me that math and quality standards are both colonialist supremacist constructs that we need to overcome in the name of the revolution.

I just always set the e-brake when I park. You never know when that bushing is going to pop out and then you are not in park, and your car starts rolling if brake is not on. Good habit to get into.

The way NESE treats retirees I will never again buy or own a ford product. NESE is run by a bunch of clueless un trained and un informed id--ts who don’t know what they are doing. you can call several times about the same issue and you will get several different answers. They know you are retired and petty much powerless so they just give you a run around and try to get you off the phone ASAP. Way to treat ex employees that have given their sole to this company. Very family oriented, What a joke..

Funny thing is that ford still has the exact same quality problems today as in 1979 where ford had the biggest recall ever with the roll away problem transmission moves out of park, so they either have poor process or bad engineering/ management not following process. Can’t put a sticker on the door now a days and many more lawyers ready to sue.

It takes Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia 30 years from the time they started producing cars to get their quality to the top 5. The Big 3 have been making cars for over 100 years and the quality is at the bottom of the list.

What does that tells you? Poor leadership, incompetent engineers, not innovative, don't care attitude, and UAW. these are problems that the big 3 can't resolve.

Here's an idea. Why don't we stop talking about poor quality and fix it. We have done it in the past and can do it again if top management has conviction which they currently don't. I think they figure they can get away with sub quality and issue recalls (re-do's) and have the dealer pick up the pieces all while straining limited dealership repair capacity and dealing with upset customers. I worked at Ford long enough to remember the original Quality is Job 1 campaign. (Dr. Deming- statistical process approach) It was brought about after the Japanese began devouring our market share. This takes a serious approach with holding suppliers (which we have a low ranking with) and employees accountable and measuring results. Time to get people back in the office and put an engineer in charge to fix this. Farley is clearly not up to the job. He's waaaay over his head. I afraid Billy is still trying to run the company with some puppet CEO's. I hope Bill gets out of the way like he did during the Mullaly, Trotman (90's), Peterson (80's) era to let a real CEO run the company before it's too late.

If you are trying to paint a pretty picture for an ugly photo, the truth will eventually comes out.

This is what Ford has been doing trying to get people to buy their poor quality products.

DEI, support America, support for community, advertising with black people to show that they are not racist, support LGBT, donate money to the poor community.

Ford tries to do this to win the customers. Once they bought the Ford products they never come back. This goes to show people will only want good quality products.

This is why my family and friends don't own a Ford.

Hearing negative comments about quality can impact the corporate image and leave employees feeling anxious and self-conscious. Should just accept Ford as a unique and beautiful corporation, regardless of recalls and quality issues.
