Big Banks are Sc-m of Earth

All big banks are cesspools of greed with toxic cultures, ran by narcissists, underregulated and undertaxed.

I know hedge fund managers, litigation lawyers, medical doctors, politicians, rocket science engineers, professional athletes, famous musicians, Hollywood stars, and corporate CEOs make a ton of money. They are all corrupt to some extent. You can't always make a blanket statement like "banking pays higher in over 90% of the time vs any other industry". A majority of bank employees don't make much money, struggling with small amounts of biweekly paychecks. Regardless of industry, the corruption seems to exist wherever money is.

Regarding “Banking pays higher in over 90% of the time vs any other industry.”

I’m assuming you wouldn’t put this figure out there if it wasn’t true, but please do share some supporting documentation.

If you include the top brass in the banks making $20M to $30M per year and top FAs…maybe?? But 95% of bank employees are not making more than 90% of any other industry.

Once the FedCoin CBDC comes out, only one bank will be standing. The Federal Reserve.

This generalization is beyond simple minded ….yes I totally agree it’s about the almighty dollar and causes detriment to many employees etc …however a lot of this is also due to the wonderful administration that is in place causing inflation as well as other factors like CRE, Mortgage etc. they are both bubbles to burst and cr-ppy investments right now so staff in those areas have to be reduced. Now the cr-p that is going on with offshore hiring is ridiculous and out of control. This is driven by huge cost of labor in the US vs India …in many cases a 3 to 1 hiring in India.

Also those generalizing about hard work not being rewarded change departments or industry. Banking pays higher in over 90% of the time vs any other industry. I have Ben rewarded fairly and generously in general …when I haven’t I change departments .. quit with the victim mentality ….also accept that all public companies serve the dollar…yes I do agree banks are one of the worst …measure the risk vs reward being an employee of the bank

So you don’t think your feedback is intellectual and insightful? How would you describe your contributions to this forum?

I see you’ve got some upvotes too. They say cheaters are the ones who accuse others of cheating.

I agree! You are the most intellectual contributor on this Board. Dare I say genius? We would all be lost without your rare and insightful feedback.

You will not survive at Wells Fargo if you just work hard, go above and beyond. You will survive and succeed if you brown nose your managers and executives to death, become a yes-man/yes-woman and give them 100% blind faith loyalty. Never question their unethical actions or their dictator-like authority. You have to sell your soul to those narcissists' ego.

It's not just big banks, big tech companies are bad too. I think the head of those companies are primarily responsible for creating corrupt and toxic culture. They layoff 3,000 - 30,000 employees to save their salary that is 3,000 times more than the average employees. Charlie and his cronies are just doing what typical corrupt CEOs and executives do. The same goes with politicians in Washington who fly on their private jets. My lawyer friend told me, "they do it because they can".

@pfn Why do you take criticism of a corporation so personally?

"All big banks are cesspools of greed with toxic cultures, ran by narcissists, underregulated and undertaxed."

Yeah, that's it. The are all exactly like that. Every single one of them. I am so glad the OP and others here have given us their unique personal perspective on all big banks.
Ok, since that is the consensus here, what are you all doing as an alternative? Nothing.
Bunch of Nancy's.

Couldn't agree more, OP! And many won't survive CRE collapse, which doesn't bother me despite consequences. Let big banks burn!

Whenever the Fed and Treasury sc--w up they depend on the big banks to save the banking system just like they did with SVB collapse and in 2008.

Preach. I do my slave plantation labor and leave and make sure I fulfill obligations to myself and family. God is watching and the ones harming others will be judged accordingly.
