$300K Mustang

Before dealer markup. We don’t even build it. I love how all the C suite cheers for something when another company does it for us (steering the Billy bucks over to good old Raj, enjoyer of private planes and interns). Meanwhile, yesterday’s Mustang MachE is pilling up on dealer lots. This company is doomed, have enough money to play with Multimatic, but don’t have enough money to make stuff real people can buy.

Why did they kick Raj out? Whatever he did was apparently vetted by Multimatic and they gave him the green light.

4xqy - The people buying the GTD don't have to make decisions between cars. They'll buy the GTD to accompany their Ferrari, GT3 RS, and other toys.

The market for a car like this is completely different than the stuff you or I buy.

Nothing but a stupid distraction. How's this gonna help our bottom line?

@3lcc Lets get real here, you're not buying a Porsche GT3 or a Mustang GTD. This is a market you're not part of so your opinions on it are meaningless.

@2aqi
Your $/hp analysis shows you have no idea what you're talking about. The GTD is a street-legal GT3 class vehicle. You're comparing apples and oranges.

D-mb car. Dodge can make a 1025hp car for 100k. You people make an 800hp camero for 300k. Too expensive underpowered and doesn’t look like a mustang. Dodge $95.00 per horse. Ford $375 per horse. Paleeze…

They make LCAs for just about every truck OEM thats using extruded aluminum. They're also experts ewth carbon fiber, and especially good at fusing those two together. Basically if you want to do a production vehicle with structural carbon fiber, you'll be calling Multimatic. Has nothing to do with Raj.

All that said, a $300k Mustang that likely comes with a guzzler tax seems a bit tone deaf. I mainly just wanted to clear the air so that we all know it's 100% the bone heads in charge at Ford making these decisions.

Raj also enjoyed "entertaining" in the Ford racing RV.

Funny how management highlights an ICE vehicle as a "halo" car.

What happened to drinking the EV Kool-Aid?
