Past couple of days there has been very little work on the wireline side in n.y..Does anyone know something that we don't,cause the foreman don't know either.

Rumor has it Cary tier 1 will fold down to KCI 1st quarter of 2024. KCI to work with Nokia on sunset projects to rid all COs of legacy TDM.

If they get it at a discounted price(verizon wants to get rid of it) plus the State and Federal government give them a chunk of change to provide broadband then yes, I do think Brightspeed will buy it.
Do people really think Brightspeed would buy these legacy areas knowing the baggage they bring, top to bottom?
They are forcing everyone onto voice connect before the sale to brightspeed.
Budget freeze ,i dont think so,why would you have absolutly No work for the CXM techs. why would the company just pay them to do nothing all day .Something is going on behind closed doors ,and also you havent heard from the Union everyone is being quiet..whats going on?

maybe a good offer will come out at the end of the 4th quarter since you will have most of the outside forces doing B.S work
In Md/Dc/Va we have shut down all fttp work except greenfield and splitter adds. Most of construction is working hicap work or techs were sent back to installation and repair
new fios prints are hard to come by as of late. Vz had a commitment to fiber up the "poorer" sections of the city by end of july 2023 or pay a big fine. so they pushed out prints like crazy for the past few years. July is gone , and wiring up chinatown has had zero return, even I & R is sitting in shop waiting for new installs. seems whoever was interested in fios already has it.
At least when copper came to a halt we had fios rising from the floods of Sandy. The COs were bustling . now...crickets
