I agree completely the talk from senior auto executives during earnings calls is a bunch of BS about things are going great and how they're prepared for the future, but internally it's a mess.
@2fxc+1odl8t2J people have gotten burned by bad american cars for so long, so many times. they make a bit of progress, then they backslide big time.
so the investors realize that a lot of exec pronouncements are just blowin' smoke.

Every traditional auto maker is jealous of Tesla's stock price. Not that I am a fan, but investors which one reason it stock is so much higher. So that why they are intent on being more like Tesla. Ford like GM, are using quarterly reviews now and will be more aggressive in getting rid of people.

I don't have a problem helping out. I don't consider myself too good to do blue collar work.
What I hate doing though is stepping on the toes of those who may be striking. Seems an extra stab in the back to them.
