Dell should lay off all these consultants that literally only know Microsoft tools. They get paid to present details to managers that they have to collect from the SMEs who are several grades below them. Some of them are really more like glorified secretaries.

7gps+1oex4MTD, let me guess…Sr Consultant in APEX?!
There is a sr.consultant doing only slides for over 2 yrs. The boss is his friend. In anticipation of this layoff a junior employee who actually worked was strategically made to appear as not meeting expectations. The boss worked really hard to create that narrative.
Now the sr.consultant is doing some job eventhough it was the junior employee's task. Nothing to worry, boss friend wont let anything happen to him.
Meanwhile the leadership team thinks " if we build it they will come to buy it".
And so they live happily ever after.
Makes you wonder how leaders made it to the top when they need people lower down to write theirs scripts on what to say, what to present, etc.. Accountability must be seriously lacking.
A secretary certainly does more work and more critical work than the he consultants on my team.
That is what the leaders want. They want a "yes boss". Anyone else, is conveniently laid off.
