Practice Strike???

Why do you have to practice holding a sign? Oh thats right, it's alot harder than putting a bolt in a fender.

The practice strike is more for making the sure the rank and file know what they can and can't do. Uaw doesn't want police to be involved as that erodes their position. In short they know they are protecting id--ts and just trying to keep them in line.

If they are serious, they should picket in front of the Auto Show, which starts on September 16. That'll get their attention.

It's more a statement to them OEMs rather than extra "practice". As in, "we are serious about going out on strike".

I am also a white collar D&R, but at least these folks know how to stick together protect their jobs, get pay raises and look out for one another!
What GSR's stick together, most of them are a pathetic bunch on spinless jellyfish losers !
My coworkers don't have the backbone to stand up against the boss for anything, let alone hold a sign threatening to shut the assembly line down marching up and down. This is the message and bargaining tactic, probably not taught at your Dearborn based dump university.
So take note you weak and pathetic id 10 t that started this thread.
Go in your corner and pray your job doesn't move to an LCC like Brazil, Mexico, China and India. At least these folks have the ba--s to do something about it and not post some big bad trash talk on this site.
Going to be nice to think about a person like you driving across the picket line to go assemble some parts you sniveling brat. Go take some of those 27 classes so you can catch up to your D&R counterparts who are awaiting to take your job over with ease, just some paperwork, calling the supplier to ask for a timeline and attending one or two meetings per week.
Take note, any monkey at the zoo can do your job, hear they are already doing calculus.
