Bedminster or Middletown? Which survives the longest and when are they vacated? 9/5 is right around the corner

Yes on the impairment. I had to move because of it. Last I heard consolidation to building A but that was before RTO.

What is the state of MT now? I left years ago, but I heard that they gutted half of buildings B/C/D/E to take a lease impairment -- true?

I remember the day(s) they cut up golden boy in Bedminster and put him on a flat bed truck to Dallas. He does look nice in Dallas. One day Dallas will be the only location for AT&T. Nice campus for 50k people.

Bellsouth bought them out? When did this happen? Is this some kind of sick joke?

Agree. It’s a different company now. T used to be a prestigious company to work for. Now it’s a joke.

Back in the day (1980s) and before SBC bought out AT&T, NJ probably had the most company offices anywhere. There was Kemble Plaza (1 & 2), Campus Drive, 290 Davidson, 55 Corporate drive, Schoolhouse rd, AT&T Learning Center (AT&T Hotel & Conf Center across from the HQ campus, Ho-s lane, 30 & 60 Knightsbridge (data centers), nearby Labs campus, and so many more locations- just like another poster said, on a 50 mile stretch of rt 287 exits. One by one, CRE closed the offices (sold/end lease) as EE base shrunk. I got to either work in or routinely visit most all these locations for meetings and projects I was working in over many years. All very well maintained, state of the art then. So sad to see the company lose its way, its values and culture.

I have an AT&T map of NJ from 1985 that shows all the locations in NJ, most on 287 corridor. Yes, Maple Ave, corp drive, 1 AT&T way, Knightsbridge. All before bell south bought them out. Training center in Basking Ridge was great. Lots of parties and even Santa would come once a year and you brought your kids to work. Great times.

Stephenson and Stankey, WON with their race to the bottom. AT&T has literally dropped to the bottom of most admired companies, it's enough to make you sick. This company will never be able to pay off it's debt of $145B, I mean never. It's just horrible what at&t has become.

Absolutely right, those were the golden years of AT&T/Bell System. I had an office in Basking Ridge, which was luxuriously maintained. Bell Labs was a short drive away in Holmdel, and AT&T campuses on almost every exit of 287. Taking training at Schoolhouse Road always added pounds! I remember one time parts of 287 were closed due to a snowstorm and trapped motorists made their way to the HQ building to spend the night. And don't forget the Learning Center across the street, another great place for collaboration and gourmet dining for teams. Didn't realize at the time how fortunate I was with a great company culture and surroundings.

“ NJ is the most over staffed state with at&t employees. I mean way, way, over staffed.” Maybe now it is. NJ was headquarters at one time. It was a glorious time….ah yes…a glorious time. T University on Schoolhouse RD with the gourmet lunches. Who remembers?

"Bedminster moved into a new location up the street, with a lease of 5+ years."

Is it 5 years? I thought it was just a 2 year lease. Regardless, I doubt it'll be around that long.

Out of the 5 buildings in MT only A will be for T employees, the others will be rented out. A will be closed within 2 years.
Bedminster, same - 2 year life span. There won't be enough employees to sustain the buildings.

Stankey has destroyed AT&T. They don’t give a damn about their shareholders for their employees.
