Why not collude? They collude on everything else. Ever wonder why HR says market wage? Wonder where they get that info? They all send the data to a 3rd part vendor who then compares it to others companies that sends in their data and sends out a report. Because direct discussions is illegal, but 3rd party data isn’t even though it’s the same thing. If you ever wonder why there’s a wage gap and you can’t get paid what you’re actually worth, that’s why.
