I heard from a reliable source that Darren was going to sell the campus to Texas A&M, his old alumni. They would rename the campus, Texas A&M at Spring. Supposedly we are paying too much for BTC engineers. The plan would be to bring them to the campus as students. Then assign work to them as student projects. ExxonMobil would not have to pay them and can actually give them "F" after the work is done and ship them back. This sounds hard to believe but with ExxonMobil, anything unethical is believable.

I heard a similar story but that some of the engineers were protesting the pay. Darren countered with NIL deals. Each engineer would get their face on a plastic cup made from recycled plastics made in Baytown and 1% profit from and sales from Biofuels. I have heard that some took the deal but around 25% left and took a job changing oil at Walmart. They said and I quote”Better pay and job security “.

The references in the original post could have been written by anyone who’s used this website over the past week or so. The board’s user base is made up largely of people who have recently retired (involuntarily). Hence the sour grapes and constant temper-tantrums.
