I can't stay in the office very long because of the horrible low rise cubes this place has installed. I used to work in peace, now i have people around me screaming into the their monitor instead of using a headset. I have an obese indian gal who smells behind me screaming into her iphone doing video calls with her gf's. Only 1/10 cubes even has wiring that works correctly. The USB-C doesn't charge the computer. Then if a co worker in my group is there all they want from you is 2 hours of your time to fix their problem. F the office. The office looks like a IKEA ad, great in a photo, but not in practice.

@wgz+1ogzHWJL Open office-- 4 ft wide desks lined end to end and face to face with person in next row, no walls at all. 333 market had floors like this when Ellis was around-- some asinine notion that we should be like a .com with sh*t working environment vs. a Fortune 50 company than actually afford cubes.
I just grab an office when I go in. At this point I only use a cube if an office isn't available. I suspect that will change with everybody has to go in 3 days a week (unless I go in REALLY early).
Heard that WF offices are moving from shtty cubicles to even more shtty desks, like micro cubicles. Can this place get any more painful to work at??
I don't care what the office is like, so long as no one can see my screen, I can't hear people nearby and be distracted by it, and they can't hear me either.
I really like a semi privacy cubicle but the open offices are a bit too much.

Cubicles felt dehumanizing and thus became a meme for soulless job. The underlying driver making them dehumanizing though was efficiency: trying to pack more people into less space.
Business used the meme to shift people to open offices which are even more dehumanizing and more efficient. But nobody noticed at first because they didn't look like cubicles.
In short people are d-mb.
