Just curious if this fad has passed and what is next!

Well, the city of Seattle passed a city ordinance banning discrimination by sect. I understand this can be a thing with the folks from India. Sect discrimination, I guess similar to class discrimination.
Soooo…. Should our teammates at GES be required to take this, along with our team here in North America for awareness?
Cmon, let’s be consistent here.
@2bpb - Yes!
In my department everyone had to take the training, but the video shown was U.S.-based which was stupid. For example, we had to watch a video from Chicago 1950s about this stupid teacher who segregated first grader by color. We all knew that was racist, but the presenter was implying that we still have that today. One person from India (on WebEx) asked which school the segregation is happening today and why aren't the parents suing the school!
@2bpb all the wHITE people are actually minorities in those countries…
Good point. And was the DEI performance review requirement equally pushed across all parts of Ford? GES India, China, Mexico, Brazil? Do they celebrate the DEI objective and provide updates?
Hello, where is “One Ford”?
Or are only a certain skin colored people on Ford North America (oppressors) required to put up with this?
I am seriously wondering is your supervisor really checking your quarterly check-in as to your progress on DEI goal (“identify yourself as oppressor or oppressed”)?
I was fully prepared to offer to update at our department meeting my learnings on our China partners forced labor camps of the Uihghers in XinJiang province, and graph a multi-dimensional plot of awareness and acceptance of the issue of forced labor camps in China amongst our fellow Chinese and middle eastern/Muslim co-workers. Kind of like a “man on the street” reporter.
Good thing I left last year November.
Not a boomer, but find younger people that use that term to be the biggest turds in society.
We must be fine regarding layoffs because the boomers are complaining about DEI again.
No. Not done. Not by a long shot.
Billy is worried about his social credit score so there will probably be more DEI cr-p coming.
Sit here replying to yourself, bruh.
Refresh the page over and over so you upvote yourself, bruh.
Have people question you mental stability, bruh.
@rgx+1olixXLd LOL, it's a huge non value added waste of time and money that has no place in corporate Americe. Live by the Golden Rule azzhat.
Expect a renewed DEI initiative next year. It'll be an election year. Remember this cr-p started on 2020. The overall theme of DEI was 'orange man bad!".
There will be a renewed focus on that next year.
Let's sure hope so! Most companies are backtracking from it now.
Wow, someone asks a question about DEI, and you get some angry responses. Did that touch a nerve????
According to the DEI experts, “the work is never done”.
“What does this have to do with layoffs?”
If you were over 50, and/or white or Chinese you’d understand DEI has everything to do with layoffs.
Man, go find some fu----g friends
What does this have to do with layoffs?
