Being nearly a year now no wafers have ran thru the fab since Xmas factory shutdown 2022

F24 is still producing wafers. I maintain them. Fab34 is ramping up. 120 people being shipped in from Israel as we are short staffed. Some arrived already.

A lot of what is written above is rubbish.

Fab underloading charges are already ki-ling Intel financial results. Even after the accounting tricks whereby Intel extended the depreciation life of the fab equipment.
Things are getting pretty desperate here.

May the mist of Irish magic shorten every road, and may your friends remember the favours you are owed. May the most you wish for be the least you get. May the rains sweep gently across your fields, may the sun warm the land, may every good seed you have planted bear fruit, and may late summer find you standing in fields of plenty on this sweet, sweet green earth - of ours.

False to say all tools in F24 are bagged, the FAB is still producing wafers

Lots of politicians in Intel thought I’d better join a real party.

Have they even managed to appoint an actual Head of Intel in Magdeburg? Or is still Eamonn Sinnott, who has been the “interim” Head for the last 14 months, the guy who was pushed out of Ireland by Holmes and who is doing the job remotely from his house in Ireland? That’s how committed Intel are to Germany - there is no head of the Plant cos there is no plant. All an illusion .

I went back to Ohio
But my city was gone
There was no train station
There was no downtown

South Howard had disappeared
All my favorite places
My city had been pulled down
Reduced to parking spaces -- and a new Intel Fab Ohio One

Ay, oh, way to go, Ohio One
Well, I went back to Ohio
But my family was gone
I stood on the back porch
There was nobody home

Ay, oh, way to go, Ohio One

Magdeburg ?! bah ha ha haah ahh haaaa

That is nothing more than an option to buy a piece of dirt.

Germany is slipping into recession and the Eurozone is close to bankrupt.

Intel has three new locations ahead of Magdeburg that will sit idle for years.

God save the Queen.

Magdeburg is basically just a photo opp with smiling sycophantic senior Execs patting themselves on the back about a promise of money IF they build a mega fab and IF it makes chips. It’s all smoke and mirrors. Not even a white elephant !

Pretty soon, that will be your job Pat sees in his rear view mirror...

Yeah same for Ohio... all this bloviating and all you see there is paved over fields for parking lots and shell buildings.

In early 2022 Pat was saying demand looked great. Intel broke ground on new fabs. Intel kept hiring heads... but now we all know the reality.

That was peak demand and revenues are falling along with margins. So expect that these fabs won't be cranking out much for some time, if ever.

At last November’s Open Forum in Ireland PG ranted on about how Ireland , both Fab 24 and the new Fab 34 were central to IFS ! He said he would hold Ann Marie Holmes accountable…. things are clearly not going according to plan . The place is dying despite all the PR being spun about EUV and Fab 34 and Intel 7

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May you always walk in sunshine. May you never want for more. And lastly, may Irish angels rest their wings beside your nursery door.

I mean you have to hand it to the new CEO... Go big or go home.

First he said he would beat NVidia in discrete graphics (fail). Then he said he would talk on NVidia in HPC/AI (fail). Now he says he will be TSMC in silicon contract manufacturing (in progress...).

With each bold claim and monumental failure, the CEO is going for a bigger prize... and also significantly increasing the risk that this company will go bankrupt.

Wasn't that Fab built for the EU market?

AMD and NVidia are doing just fine... so, why does Intel have all the whiners? Maybe because the company can't execute and the products have fallen so far behind the competition.

Yeh let’s keep all our tools down and not make any wafers or money seems like a good idea alright doesn’t it ? Thank Biden economics for that one. Sanctioned our biggest customer and the market becomes 51% saturated over night. Way to many semiconductor companies selling in the west while nobody can sell to china our biggest customer
