5G is their focus not fios. And they don't need the union for it. American Tower, Crown Castle, SBA and Vertical Bridge are building our 5G network. Very few union members in those companies. They build it, we ship a modem, done.

Your all id--ts if you think OT blankets the while Verizon footprint. It’s in sporadic areas and is driven by the condition of the OSP and weather events. There’s always “ someone “ getting OT but obviously not the majority of the work force all at the same time.

There is (1) OPT in Mass and (1) Field Tech in NY job openings. If two positions is hiring all over the place then yup, they are hiring all over the place.

The biggest surplus is from the director level and above. Too many chiefs to analyze the analysis of too many managers managing nobody but the various analyses telling them that they are not making money because they are not attracting net new customers.
Hate to the bearer of bad news, but sale to Brightspeed isn’t happening. More rumors.
No EISP is going to be offered. Why give extra to get rid of people when wireline is being sold to Brightspeed. Once they sell, Brightspeed is going to be hiring a lot of people not trying to get rid of people. Verizon is not going to pay to get rid of dead weight that they are going to be dropping in the sale. EISP days are over.

There is no work in the mid Atlantic right now. Zero OT. Anyone with 5 years or less should start to worry.
