Union strong, good try troll. We have contracts and work rules, both sides have to abide by them.
Technicians are still being hired, so I can't imagine that jobs are going to contractors rather than the technicians.
They are Union Clerks whose job functions will now be handled by contractors in other cities. The Union never notified them of the change.
100% there are former surplused employees in payroll as NPWs. Seems to me like we could have saved jobs from people who recently lost jobs and allowed them an NPW opportunity instead of hiring back precious poor performers.
“It’s costs T 2/3 the amount to hire contractors vs direct employees”
T may pay contractors 2/3 less but T spends more $ hiring managers to interact/direct/inspect contractors, so they end up paying more in the long run.
"There is a disconnect somewhere . Some depts are letting go of contractors and hiring employees. Which is it?"
A lot goes into a decision of in house or contracted. Unskilled basic call center or clerical work vs highly technical. Long term vs short term need. Etc. It's not a cookie cutter answer.
Lies. Go away. There is no one that refers to themselves as "Office Union Employee."
$75/hour is great, but not something I'd expect someone to boast about. $75/hr. = $156K annually ... maybe brag-worthy in 1994.
"There are NPWs that were former ATT employees who were let go because they weren’t that good. How shameful that ATT has one hand cut for performance and another area under same VP hire person back as an NPW. Have some respect T on who you hire."
Can you please not share your fantasyland stories here? Appreciate in advance.
I’m not worried. I’m making $75 so you I’m important to the company
lots of jobs listed for positions, can't imagine anyone would want to work for T other than as a contractor

Contractors found doing core work will get the welcome they need.
