Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

ABU will take action

Late yesterday, the Offshore Alliance lawyers served Chevron with formal Notice of Protected Industrial Action on all 3 West Coast facilities, commencing Thursday 7th September 2023. OA members will be participating in rolling stoppages, bans and limitations which will escalate each week until Chevron agrees to our conditions

The OA Chevron crew won’t be intimidated by an outfit which think they can exploit our resources, rip off Australian taxpayers and underpay highly skilled oil and gas workers engaged on remote major hazard facilities.

The OA members will go one day longer and one day stronger than Chevron in our EBA campaign.

If Auzie union members put half as much effort into just doing their jobs as they do into dreaming up lame excuses to strike, 2/3 of the jobs and the expensive Union bosses could easily be eliminated. Unions put the Sopranos to shame when it comes to extortion!

I love the unions. They used to pay us to picket and shout against Chevron at QV1 from morning through the lunch hour, then we would get pi---d at the Melbourne pub until evening. Nice work if you can get it.
