Ford is a great name to be on the resume.
Mine looked awesome to Tier1& Tier2 suppliers. Within hours after the news came out, I had a few calls coming in asking if I am interested to work for them. Don’t you guys all keep good & respectful relationship with suppliers?
I ended up in moving out of Michigan but I still keep in touch with them just in case I may come back to Michigan or automotive industry.
If you're laid off or looks good. Everyone knows Ford only keeps the useless F&F members.
As someone else said, it all comes down to your value-add. One big advantage to having Ford on your resume is that it's a well-known company and that ups your credibility. No need to explain the product or business.
It depends on what skill set you gained, and the depth in which it was utilized. The location/employer is not relevant.
A person could have NASA on their resume , but if all they did was sit in Web Ex meetings all day, it really doesn't mean anything.
