Mine looked awesome to Tier1& Tier2 suppliers. Within hours after the news came out, I had a few calls coming in asking if I am interested to work for them. Don’t you guys all keep good & respectful relationship with suppliers?
I ended up in moving out of Michigan but I still keep in touch with them just in case I may come back to Michigan or automotive industry.

If you're laid off or looks good. Everyone knows Ford only keeps the useless F&F members.

As someone else said, it all comes down to your value-add. One big advantage to having Ford on your resume is that it's a well-known company and that ups your credibility. No need to explain the product or business.

@OP

It depends on what skill set you gained, and the depth in which it was utilized. The location/employer is not relevant.

A person could have NASA on their resume , but if all they did was sit in Web Ex meetings all day, it really doesn't mean anything.
