Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Linkedin Posting

Does Fido now reward employees for posting/reposting corny marketing like stuff on LinkedIn? Find it comical to see colleagues posting all sorts of cheerleader material "I am proud to note that Fidelity is Professionally Reinventing Innovative Channels" Like is that how people are advancing these days?
Is this now a goal setting standard for the year: "LinkedIn Posting"

My friend's a manager and Fidelity regularly provides these social media posts for them to just copy paste into linkedIn

Also at Schwab, we have the LinkedIn bullsh-t. If I get laid off, I'm going to like one of Fidelity's stupid posts right after they pay me my severence just because Schwab bans us from liking stuff from other companies.

Charles Schwab employee here peeking to see the nonsense of other companies. We have the same sh-t but way worse. Just compare our advertising to Fidelity's. At least Fidelity can say what they are selling instead of making the whole add touchy feely corporate bullsh-t.

Entering pronouns in a meeting is actually a pretty courteous thing to do for everyone. It has absolutely nothing to do with corporate social media cheerleading. These are not remotely similar topics.

I refuse to sign-up for that d-mb sh-t. They can ask all they want. Similar to adding pronouns to your Zoom account. Fu-k me.

I prefer the more realistic comments on the work posts. Nice to see some people saying how they feel, no matter how well-polished survey results are, and the like.

Like reading the bootlicking comments when Abby posts something on Fidelity Central.

Only way to advance is to kiss a-s. Sooooo many brown nosers. I get sick reading the yammer posts within Fidelity.
People don’t even try to not make it obvious, it’s so over the top these days.

There is a thread on Reddit for these ‘LinkedIn lunatics’. They are found everywhere. Much like the ‘influencers’.

I think those are legit posts, some people get really rah rah about where they work.

They "gently prod" managers in to "gently prodding" employees. No explicit benefit, it's all very wink-wink "encouragement"

You want to be a team player, don't you?
