Once the Covid shutdowns go into effect mid November… perhaps we’ll all be working from home again.

It's gotta be true. Charlie gave us the warning that WFH would be ending.

considering badge swipes are monitored by a report I highly doubt anyone is out months without going in office. You have to give reasons like disability to justify it cause right now there
Are eyes all over that report

I’m not moving to 4 days when most people aren’t even in 3 days or full days still

A friend of mine just left the audit team , and in his exit interview he was told 4 days in office is starting in January.

I've heard people in two days a week will be going to three. People in three days a week will be going to four.

I have talked to people from other companies and enquired whether they have such selective RTO rules based on performance. They don't.
There are other ways to deal with low performers on the team. Making different rules for them is certainly not one of them.

In fairness, if you’re a manager and you have some top performers you don’t want to lose, giving them extra flexibility is smart.

So some many be favorites because they’re, you know, better performers. (Acknowledging some cases are pure favoritism.)

I haven't heard anything yet. For some of us in our department, its 3 days a week.
However, there are many favorite ponies who don't need to show up for months and they still remain some of the most favorite people of senior management.
I am sick of such favoritism and openly selective covert behavior.
It ki-ls employee morale. I don't understand how is this acceptable?
