Has anyone been able to successfully request their manager to be changed? If so, how did you do it?
I am convinced my mangers goal is to unfairly show me the door because of a personal vendetta.

I’ve changed my manager before, it was painful and took about 6 months but basically sold it as a benefit to Nike to have me report this different manager (and team).
Basically both managers agreed then HR kept saying there was a reorg coming and they would take care of it then. However 3 months went by and nothing happen. After a while I told both managers let’s just do it and get it over with, then it happened.
Unfortunately for me the new manager wasn’t much better but at least I was off the sinking ship of the other organization. My prior org got dismantled and didn’t exist anymore after a year.
I've been with the company over 5 years now and have never heard of a manager change unless you apply for a new job and therefore get a new manager. Are you currently on a performance plan?? Either way, my advice is find a new job as you're never going to win any battles against management here.
