Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Emea all hands

Did anyone else think the EMEA all hands was pure BS?
From what I got and correct me if im wrong. It was a basically AI is brilliant(code for it will take your job once DSA is working fully) and everything is great.
Tell Dell was a complete waste of time.
We listened but here is what AI said about Tell Dell.
Nobody wants a return to site but we expect you back on site.
We care but we dont really its just a tick box.
Adrian McDonald looked so awkward.
It was like even he didnt believe the lies he was trying to sell.
My guess is sales jobs cut in Q4/Q1 but maybe im wrong?

So funny how they just mentioned the 3 things that were lacking:

  • Compensation
  • Career progression
  • X don’t remember

But didn’t acknowledge anything on how to change that. What a joke.

Sales (and others) are up for Q1 (feb).

Higher ups are selling out more than ever- they better get more comfortable telling falsehoods if they want to keep their spots. So many changes to DSA and Premier are planned and all of them are hard driven to be automated, frictionless and 100% self serve. Sales being able to self serve will eliminate the PAM/OBM dependency and customer self serve will eliminate the sales rep dependency. Unless something drastic happens - this is the future of not only Dell but many if not all tech companies.
