Toxic work culture in America today

This was originally posted on an article about another company, but I thought it really fit well here:

Speaking as a 67 year old guy heading into the last year of his career at the executive VP level, I can honestly say that top management creates the conditions for a toxic work environment.

In some cases it’s the result of poor management skills, poor policies or an obsessive focus on profitability. In other cases it’s root cause is much simpler; apathy at the highest level. Executive management may plead ignorance of the situation, but they know exactly what is going on, they simply don’t care.

SILENCE - Enough silly excuses!

Americans and Europeans are lazy (except the COE's in Eastern Europe). We can easily outsource everything and pay suppliers a couple of times a year. We can easily bring H1B visa holders to America, and we simply check the box on replacing a lazy American employee on the application.

Now get back to making those HIPAC contributions so we can file for more visas.

@ruk+1ov74Qj3 To fact check you, DA's BASE salary in 2017 was 333 times more than the average Honeywell salary according to Bloomberg. That was his BASE salary add on the bonuses and being on the board of other companies it will be closer to 600+ x the average Honeywell salary. That is why a modern CEO has zero long term growth incentive, he only needs to squeeze the heck out of the business to meet quarterly targets, get the bonus worth more than base salary, rinse and repeat before he gets rotated for the next member of the club. All the board are on the same train folks. Remember that as you get furloughed and receive sub inflation pay increases.

Do not underestimate the impact of the bedfellows Blackrock, Vanguard, State Street and global financial institutions. It is a devisive monopoly of influence and the timeline of their growth coincides exactly with the aggressive changes in corporate culture.

Also follow the money of who sponsors the non profits engineering our 'social wars' to keep us distracted, divided and angry at anyone but them.

The corporate wage divide is growing rapidly which is a wealth transfer (legal theft) from the majority of workforce to the leadership minority, mirroring exactly the strategy of the US (corporate) government, see the increasing raid on the middle and lower classes.

If the people knew exactly how their hard earned tax dollars were really spent there would be civil war. But you are all being constantly distracted with shocking ease.

However, even in this globally sick system I have to say Honeywell does really know how to scrape the barrel.

It’s the American way but it is not new. It’s been this way for decades.

Now is the time for fraud on massive scales. It all started with bankruptcy protection and has continued with “Modern Monetary theory”.

At Honeywell and many corporations this is how it works. It’s a giant dog and pony show and is that way not just for us but for our customers too. And since the investor community basically tells our executives what metrics to hit, they are the ones managing us as an enterprise. And they are doing that for us and many of our publicly traded peers.

So in a nutshell Honeywell is not unique. And if you want to climb the ranks you have to swallow that red pill and figure out ways to con-vince others to promote. It’s not about what you produce it’s about are you playing the game everyone else is playing.
