"The only way to save VZ is cut the dividend and pay down debt. VZ like the US government just doesn't get it."

This is the most financially and economically ignorant poster on this board. I hope for the company's sake that this dimwit does not work in Finance or just graduated from undergrad. Absolutely pathetic what this minion knows about debt, dividends, cash flow and why debt on the books is a good thing.

I certainly hope for the investor's sake that this clown goes with the next rif!

You'll make even more when they cut the dividend. Keep shorting.

I hope it keeps dropping. I’ve been shorting it for some time and making a nice profit.

There have been 11 Sell-Off's in the equities markets over the last 3 weeks. The equities markets are going to hit a Bottom within the next 3 months, if not sooner. Not a chance for VZ, and most of everything else; except for consumer staples, some healthcare; and Oil.

You could have invested in a S&P 500 index fun 5 years ago and made an average of 11% per year even though the covid drop... or invest in Verizon during that time and lose 8% per year on average. The only reason the dividend yield is as high as it is, is because Verizon's stock tanked.

Also, no one wants a company that outsourced everyone out of the US.

Currently only thing positive about VZ stock is it's quarterly dividend, that keeps me in the game.

I remember years ago they had a slide comparing vz to other stocks and the market saying how much more you would have made if you were invested in VZ.
I feel sorry for anyone who fell for that.

I sure hope so. My 401k is 100% in Verizon. I wish I would have diversified because I have lost so much.

Foreign takeover. Swedish meatball CEO fired from his prev CEO job for fraud, bribery, corruption, etc. And we replaced the majority of our experienced, knowledgeable US workforce with foreign corrupt, incompetent workers. Supposedly to save a buck or two. Current Stock price reflects these poor decisions
