Ford with the BS "we're all in on America" ads. Fire employees, cheating them out of their full pensions and spew this cr-p for the consumption of the general public.

Between the clueless Ford management and the unrealistically greedy UAW, this American icon will be destroyed in 4 years. This is why I took the lump sum...

it's all drama and grandstanding and politician actors playing chicken and pokers. if you don't understand this, then you haven't been in the auto industry long enough to know. every 3/4 years they grand stand... both sides buff up their chest and act like they are not compromising a week before.. then the deadline comes and goes and nothing happens, they get all the little pions all worked up about striking, will they sit in their office night and day acting like they are working hard to negotiate. then they come extend the deadline a couple of time. so they can act like they are sweating out the details. eventually, maybe a week later, or a month later, they walk out hugging and shaking hand acting like best buddies. they = UAW MANAGEMENT, and Company MANAGEMENT.

I watched UAW BS yesterday.
A whole lot of whining and tough talk from a union that is losing it's purpose.
The rest of the working class is not with you because you make a lot more than they do.
There is not a chance in he-l you will get all you are asking for.
A strike will hurt you more than it will any of the Big Three.
Stellantis is no longer a big three or an american company.
They are the biggest long term problem for uaw.
Ford has treated uaw the best but they don't seem to be getting love.
No talk or acknowledgment that big two will need far less hourly workers.
Skilled workers are more useful than unskilled.
Won't end well.

He trashed the latest proposals from all three companies Friday night. Read the Freep article.

Fain has painted himself into a corner; if he accepts ANY offer prior to the deadline, the UAW membership will think he caved. Same for the companies; if they submit "better" offers prior to deadline, Wall Street will think they caved. I don't see how the UAW avoids lengthy strikes now. Otherwise, Fain's threats will just seem like meaningless bluster.
